Intro

celtux is a live linux system with Irish language support. By default it uses the lang=ie settings suitable for the English language in Ireland. If you select Irish/Gaeilge with lang=ga you will get kde, openoffice.org and mozilla based tools appearing live as Gaeilge.

A few details

celtux 2007-01 is a clone of sidux 2007-01, hence the codename ie-sidux. This clone does differ in a few small ways from the original primarily for the above mentioned language support. Sidux itself is made up of Debian Sid, the small debian archive at sidux.com and a sidux linux kernel.

Is the sidux manual. You may also want to read the sidux.com site for release notes, particularly regarding firmwares required for some wireless cards.

The rest

celtux obviously has a different name to sidux, and you will see this appearing in a few places to remind you this is not sidux, it is celtux. The most prominent place this will show up is when you realise your live username is celtux and not sidux.
